This is always one of the most highly attended show at MAC and is organized by DAA member, Jill Lazerchick-Sampson.
Saturday 1/20 -It's time to do art and to enjoy the company of other artists as we begin our DAA Winter Drawing Studios.1 -4pm There is no charge and no registration. Come at 1 pm or any time after.We will work in the second floor MAC classroom. There will also be studios on: February 10, March 17, April 21 & May 19th.

Saturday 8/19 - 8am -noon- PLEIN AIR ART at Lynn Paron farm at W6382 Legler Valley Road, New Glarus, 53574 PLEIN AIR ART - Lynn Paron has generously opened her New Glarus area farm up to the Driftless Area Artists for a plein air art sessions August 19. Bring your brushes, pencils, pastels, cameras and join fellow DAA members and Lynn for a morning of art on the farm. Bring snacks and drinks, bug spray and muck boots too. Come out and enjoy the day! (At Lynn’s request, please make snacks vegetarian friendly – no meat - but cheese, crackers, chips, dips, veggies, fruit, desserts, etc.. are all welcome).

Saturday 7/1 - DAA Members Only If you are involved in the Beloit Fine Arts Incubator show today is the day to deliver your Art to the Blackhawk Tech Parking lot in Monroe at 9am. Kathleen will have the truck ready. Your art must be wrapped for hauling, with your name, tile, medium and price clearly marked on the back of each artwork.
Friday 7/7 tru 8/5 5pm -8pm Exhibit Opening for the Driftless Area Artists Gallery Show at the (BFAI) Beloit Fine Art Incubator. Come see the fine art works of 20 DAA members at the Beloit Fine Arts Incubator is located at 520 E. Grand Avenue, Beloit. Sunday 7/16 - Roundtree Gallery's Farewell Reception 1-4 pm at the Roundtree Gallery - 385 East Main Street.in Platville, WI. They have lost their building so this really will be the final farewell to the Roundtree Gallery as we know it. They will be moving to the Plattville Public Library until they find a permanent gallery building. We will miss them!

Saturday, 6/ 3, 2017 from 9 am to 4pm - LSRWSA's Adult Plein Air Workshop - led by Jan Norsetter and Jonathan Wilde.Seasons of the Sugar River - Nature of Water Workshop at the Belleville Community Park (shelter #3), in Belleville, WI Jan & Jonathan will share their expertise as you capture the beauty of the Lower Sugar River Watershed. All works created as a result of this workshop are automatically juried into The Seasons of the Sugar River - nature of water juried art show at the Monroe Arts Center. Participants will bring their own supplies (see the registration form for a list) and a box lunch. Please register no later than Friday, May 26, 2017. For the 30th consecutive year, the Monroe Arts Center will host the Wisconsin Regional Arts Program (WRAP) Competition. All artwork entered in this competition will be on exhibit in Monroe Arts Center's Frehner Gallery from April 7 through June 9, 2017.

March 1-28, DAA will fill the display case at the New Glarus Public Library with Driftless Area Artists Artwork. Come see & enjoy the Art Exhibit throughtout the month of March. There will be a Meet & Greet held on Friday, March 24, 4-7pm in the Community Room behind the library. The Driftless Area Artists will be on hand, Art will be offered for sale, refreshments will be served. Hands on art projects for kids of all ages, art will be happening, there will be fun for all. Everyone is invited, young and old alike. Come "Express Yourself" at the New Glarus Public Library with the Driftless Area Artists.

Participants are asked to bring any tools and materials they may have or would like to use, to make original greeting cards. (we should have many supplies for everyone if you can't bring any not to worry.) Meet in the second floor classroom of MAC for this activity. All members and friends of the arts are invited. 11/11 thru 1/13/2016 - MAC Gallery Exhibition - "Cranial Cognitions in Clay" is a collection of work that comes from the hearts and heads of Monroe artist Kathy King, and Madison artist, Phil Lyons. 11/11 - 13th Annual Regional Juried Exhibition Opening Reception at Freeport Art Museum located at 121 North Harlem Freeport, IL 61032 Exhibition dates are November 11, 2016 - February 18, 2017. The Regional Juried Exhibition displays a wide range of contemporary art and offers artists from Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin the opportunity to debut their latest work. 11/19 - Ken Lonnquist with Dave Adler - Grand Opening of the Monroe Arts Centers' Family and Kids Series. This is a one-hour FREE concert recommended for children pre-school through 5th grade. This concert is FREE and open to the public. The show starts at 11am at the Gunderson Stiles Concert Hall-1315 11th Street, Monroe.

10/15 - DAA Oct Art Event- Photos & Sketching in Belleville, WI. meet at 3:30 at Community Park in Belleville, WI, (on River St, or Hwy 69) at the boat landing by the ball fields. Bring your cameras, sketching material etc. Bring your watercrafts if you wish to shoot or paint or draw from the water. This area is part of the Lower Sugar River Watershed Area for those artists who need a little insperation for the LSRWA show(details below calendar). For carpooling meet at Shopko Parking Lot, nearest 8th St. by 3pm. We will pickup riders at the Tall Monticello Sign on Hwy 69 at Lake Montesian. or Meet us in Belleville if you wish. 8/1 - 8/28 Driftless Area Artists will display their artwork at the Monticello Public Library. in Monticello, WI. be sure to stop in to see all the beautiful art produced by our members. Opening Reception is Friday July 29, at 630 pm. Come meet the artist and everyone is invited to attend!
8/8 - Epic Campus Art Visit Second Chance Tour the fine art collection at the Verona WI Epic Center Campus. Meet at 12:45 pm in the west end of the ShopKo parking lot in Monroe. We will car pool to Verona. We need 8 people to get a guided tour. Call Helen Stauffer with your interest. (608 325-1903) Bring friends. We will perhaps have a dinner outside the campus as their cafeterias are for employees only.
